Life lessons and practical tidbits that we, dad and mom, have learned along the way or we wished we could've heard growing up. We write this to you, Princess Adrianna, and to your future siblings, with love, kisses, smacks, and a piece of chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake.

#31 Be Quadrilingual
Your mom can speak English and Spanish. Your dad can speak English, Indonesian / Malay, Manadonese dialect, Papuan dialect, and some Portuguese. So you should learn a forth language since you can already speak English, Indonesian, and some Spanish. Perhaps learn Chinese or French or German. Soak yourself in the new language. Watch their kids channels on TV, the news segment, and hang out with those people as much as possible. Reading a book alone or listening to a CD won't be sufficient. You've gotta immerse yourself in it. You will notice that it gets easier to learn a new language once you are already bilingual and trilingual. Good luck!
